Ola Electric, a former fan favorite, continued to slide down the list, dropping in the sales rankings. Ather Energy, a well-known brand based in Bangalore, was another prominent name to slide down the sales charts, moving to eighth place.
After falling to lower ranks for several months, Hero Electric has regained the top position. The manufacturer sold 8,679 e-bikes in the month of July 2022. This represents 0.86 percent of India’s overall two-wheeler market sales volume in July. The business had sold only 4,223 units in the same month the prior year.
- Ola Electric
This year got off to a fantastic start for Ola Electric, who took the top rank in the second quarter. The new electric scooter brand, however, has dropped to the fourth position. In July 2022, the manufacturer only sold 3,426 ebikes. The company unveiled the Ola S1 Pro, its first scooter in December. More recently, MoveOS 2 was updated with new capabilities.

The company sold 6,106 e-bikes in the month of July 2022. In the whole two-wheeler market, the brand was able to gain 0.60 percent of the market share. - Revolt
Revolt has replaced Ather Energy as the number five brand, knocking it from its position. In July 2022, The Revolt sold 2,261 electric two-wheelers in total. Bajaj, a two-wheeler manufacturer, located in Pune, was ranked seventh on the list after selling 2,433 units in the previous month. Compared to July 2021’s 728 units, Bajaj’s year-over-year sales increased by 234.20 percent (1,705 units), while its month-over-month sales increased by 635 units (35.32%) compared to June 2022’s 1,798 units.
- Ather
With 1,286 electric scooters sold in the past month, Bangalore-based Ather fell to the eighth position on this list. When compared to July 2021’s 1,799 e-bikes, Ather’s July sales were down 28.52 percent (513 units) year over year. M-o-M metrics also performed poorly, falling by 66.42 percent (2,544) from June’s 3,830 units.
- Benling
During the initial three-quarters of financial 2022, Benling, a firm manufacturing electric two-wheelers, had astounding growth of 53.73 percent year over year with sales of about 42,000 units.
